Common Inquiries
Everything you need to know about operating within the ARK ecosystem.
Privacy & Identity
Why is there no "Forgot Password" option?
ARK is built on a Zero-Knowledge architecture. We do not store your identity, email, or recovery phrases. If we had a way to reset your password, it would mean we had a back-door to your data. We don't. Keep your keys safe, or lose your data.
Does ARK log my IP address?
Our Cloudflare Workers process requests in memory. We do not maintain logs of user IP addresses in our Supabase database. Your account is tied to your Vault ID and your payment hash—nothing else.
Payments & Tiers
How do I activate my tier after paying?
Once you send BTC or LTC, copy the Transaction Hash (ID) from your wallet. Paste this into the "Activation" field in your dashboard. Our system verifies the blockchain record and upgrades your storage limit automatically.
Why don't you accept Credit Cards?
Credit card processors demand "Know Your Customer" (KYC) data. To accept them, we would have to ask for your name and home address. We refuse to do that. Crypto allows for a "Value-for-Value" exchange without the surveillance.
What is the Monero (XMR) verification process?
Because Monero is fully private, our automated systems cannot "see" your transaction. Submit your hash in the dashboard, and an administrator will manually verify the receipt in our secure wallet. This usually takes less than 12 hours.
Technical Specs
Where is my data actually stored?
Data is fragmented, encrypted with AES-256, and distributed across the ARK node network. No single node holds a complete, readable version of your file.
Can I use ARK via Terminal/CLI?
API access is currently in beta for Monolith tier users. Documentation for the ARK CLI will be released in Q3 2026.
